PIXEL WORKS MEDIA

Content & Social for Growing Trades

For established, growing trade businesses

Your reputation should travel further than your last job.

Pixel Works Media helps trade businesses get seen, build trust and turn the quality of their work into more opportunities. We turn your work, people and customer experiences into content that makes potential customers confident to enquire.

For plumbers, heating engineers, electricians, builders, roofers, painters and decorators, landscapers and other skilled trades across the West Midlands.

The recognisable problem

You're doing the work. Are enough people seeing it?

The work is excellent. The customers are happy. But the social pages tell a different story: a post from months ago, the occasional finished job, and very little about the people or the expertise behind the business.

As the owner, you know you should post more. But between running jobs, managing staff, answering enquiries and quoting, finding the time, knowing what to say and making it look professional keeps slipping down the list.

It's not a question of whether the business is good enough. It is. The question is whether enough of the right people can see that for themselves.

What a quiet social presence quietly costs

  • Forgotten between jobs

Past customers move on. Without anything to remind them, your name slips out of mind when a friend asks for a recommendation.

  • Recommendations with nowhere to land

Someone tags your business in a local group, but the profile that follows shows little recent work to back it up.

  • Confidence left to guesswork

A new enquiry can't see your team, your process or your previous jobs, so they're choosing partly on hope.

  • Commercial work stays out of reach

Facilities managers and developers can't find evidence that you can communicate and deliver to their standard.

Make word of mouth work harder

When someone asks ‘Can anyone recommend a good…?’

Word of mouth is valuable, and we're not in the business of manufacturing it. No fake reviews, no spamming community groups. Social media simply helps create the familiarity and the evidence behind a genuine recommendation, so the ones you already get happen more often and land harder.

  1. 01

    They see the business regularly

Consistent, useful posts keep your work and your name in front of past customers and local contacts.

  2. 02

    They remember your name

Familiarity builds. When someone asks for a recommendation, your business comes to mind.

  3. 03

    They recommend or tag you

In a Facebook or community group, people mention or tag your business because it's the one they remember and trust.

  4. 04

The person asking visits your profile

Recent work, genuine reviews and a professional team give them the evidence to feel confident getting in touch.

The recommendation is still yours to earn through good work. What changes is how many people remember you, how credible the recommendation looks, and how easy it is for the next person to take the next step.

Build trust before the first call

Show people why you're worth choosing.

Before a stranger picks up the phone, they want to know what you do, who you are and whether they can trust you. These are the building blocks that give them the confidence to enquire.

The work

Finished projects and the detail people miss

Show finished jobs, before and after transformations, and the attention to detail a customer might otherwise never see. The neat pipework, the crisp lines of a fresh paint job, the tidy finish, the standard behind the surface.

It lets a potential customer judge the quality for themselves before they've spoken to you.

The team

The people behind the vans

Introduce the people who will arrive at a customer's property. Show their experience, their professionalism and the pride they take in the work.

Knowing who's coming turns an anonymous enquiry into a conversation with real people, which makes picking up the phone easier.

The knowledge

Answering the questions customers ask

Answer common questions and explain your choices, your process and what a quality job actually involves. Help people understand what they're paying for.

An informed customer feels in control, and a customer who feels in control is more likely to enquire.

The story

How the business started and what it stands for

Tell people how the business began, what it stands for and why the owners care about doing things properly. The real story, not a slogan.

People buy from people. A genuine origin story gives them a reason to root for you and to choose you.

The proof

Genuine feedback and real project examples

With the customer's permission, we use real reviews and real project examples. Nothing invented, nothing staged. When a potential customer sees someone like them recommending you, it does more than any claim we could make for you.

Commercial opportunities through LinkedIn

Get in front of the people who commission bigger work.

LinkedIn can make a trade business visible to the people who commission larger, repeat work. Relevant project examples, clear capabilities, credible company and owner profiles, and consistent relationship building all help you show up when those buyers are looking.

What commercial buyers need to see

  • Relevant project examples that match the work they commission
  • Clear capabilities so they know what you can and can't deliver
  • Credible company and owner profiles that show you run a real business
  • Evidence you can communicate well, work professionally and hit the required standard
  • Consistent presence that keeps you in mind for the next tender

LinkedIn supports visibility, credibility and conversations. It does not automatically produce contracts. Used well, it puts you in the room before the room is full.

Why Pixel Works Media

A team that understands the work, not just the posting.

Pixel Works Media was founded by Jason and Jack Goodlad. Born from professional photography and video, we've grown into a marketing and media team that helps businesses show what makes them worth choosing. We work particularly well with trades because we understand the work, the pressure and the people behind it.

Based near Stourbridge, we work across the West Midlands and surrounding counties.

  • A plan built around your business

Not a template. We start with your strengths, your customers and the work you want more of, and build from there.

  • Professional content based on real work

We come from professional photography and video. The content we capture is your actual work, your actual people, looking the way it should.

  • A consistent presence that reflects your quality

A page that looks like the business you've built, kept up to date so the first impression matches the work.

  • Clear, practical guidance

We explain what we're doing and why, in plain language. No jargon, no mystery, no being left in the dark.

  • A focus on recognition, trust and relevant enquiries

We're not chasing vanity numbers. The point is more of the right people remembering you, trusting you and getting in touch.

A simple process

Four clear steps, no jargon.

01

Get to know your business

We start by understanding your strengths, your customers and your growth priorities. What's working, what isn't, and what you'd like more of.

02

Build the plan

Together we agree the messages, the platforms and the content needed to get you there. Nothing starts until you're happy with the direction.

03

Capture and share

We create professional content from your real work and publish it consistently, so your presence stays current and credible.

04

Review and improve

We look at what's creating interest, conversations and enquiries, and refine the approach so it keeps working harder for you.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the things trade owners ask us.

Referrals are exactly what we're building on, not replacing. The problem is that people can't recommend a business they don't remember, and a recommendation lands better when there's a credible profile to back it up. A consistent presence keeps you in mind between jobs and gives every recommendation somewhere solid to land.

Less than you think. You don't need to become a content creator. We handle the strategy, the filming, the editing, the writing and the scheduling. What we need from you is access to the work, a bit of practical input on what we're capturing, and a quick approval before things go out.

Yes. A purposeful LinkedIn presence can put you in front of facilities managers, property managers, developers and other commercial buyers, with the project examples and capabilities they need to see. What we can't do is guarantee contracts. We build the visibility, the credibility and the conversations that lead to them.

Absolutely. Not everything has to be a talking-head video. We can build a strong presence from project photography, before and after shots, written posts and short, low-pressure team moments. We work to whatever your team is comfortable with, and most people relax into it once they see the results.

Yes. We can begin with a lighter level of support and step up if and when it makes sense. The right level depends on your goals, your capacity and your budget, and we'll talk that through honestly before anything is agreed.

We look at what's actually creating interest, conversations and enquiries, not just likes. You'll see it in the enquiries coming through, the kind of work you're being asked about, and the reviews and recommendations mentioning your content. We review performance with you regularly and adjust the approach.

No, and you should be wary of anyone who promises that. What we can do is put more of the right people in front of your work, build their trust before they enquire, and make it easy for them to get in touch. The quality of your offer and your reputation still does the selling. We make sure more people get to that point.
